Peter Levenda: "The mere existence of the UFO is an affront to our sovereignty. We're only ignoring it because they haven't shot at us. Yet we kind of put that aside and say well we have other problems, we have terrorism, we have Ukraine, we have this, we have that. But they're there, they play games with our military forces, they screw with our computer systems, they shut down our missile silos and then open them up
again and do all this other weirdness. We have no sovereignty, we cannot defend ourselves against this, that's a fact. So why are they not doing something more? Well we're thinking like human beings think: 'well if these guys are powerful they should land on the White House lawn or they should blow up our military' do all these things - they're not doing it. That's a failure of our imagination to understand why they're not doing it. Maybe they keep showing up because they want us to go to the next step of that conversation. Okay they're more powerful, they could close us down if they wanted to, they don't want to, they don't. Why don't they want to? Does even the concept of 'want to' exist in their world? Are they cyborgs, are they programmed? Is it AI that's doing this? Is this something that's been programmed and they have no control over themselves either right. There's all these things that we have to ask, but the military is not going to ask it, the intelligence agencies aren't going to ask it, the politicians certainly won't. That's why I keep
harping on this thing that we need everybody involved. We need all hands on deck, we need the artists, the writers, the musicians involved in asking these questions. We need the soft sciences, we need the humanities, we need people with backgrounds in religious studies and things of that nature. We need all of these people trying to understand this because we're not asking the right questions yet and the material is right there in front of us. We could ask the right questions, we're just not trying hard enough"
